- Mr. Tierney has been teaching for 17 years. He has a B.A. in history from San Francisco State University, an M.A. in Education from Sacramento State University, and is currently working on an M.A. in history at Sacramento State University. He was named Rolling Hills Teacher of the Year in 2001, 2004, and 2005. He has received numerous fellowships to continue his education, including Williamsburg Teacher Institute (2002), The United States - Eurasian Excellence in Teaching Awards(2004), The Japan Fulbright Memorial Fund (2005), and The Korea Studies Workshop (2007).
